Evaluation:
What have you learnt from the principles and development of editing?
I have learnt that there are many different films that have used films before them to try and get inspiration and they have done many different types of editing such as, cross cutting, cut a ways.
How could the principles of editing be further improved?
The principles of editing could be further improved by looking at old films and use technology and cgi to create different or a range of principles.
What have you understood from diegetic and non- diegetic sound?
I understand that diegetic sound is the sound that actually happens when you film the scene, yet non-diegetic sound us sound that has been recorded and added to the film or clip in post production. so I understand that in films and movies there will be sounds added and taken away from clips in post production.
How important have camera movements and shot types been on the task you have done?
Camera movements and shot types have been important in the tasks I have to do seen so I have had to use them in terms if how I want things to be shown and I understand that a director would use certain shot types to create a certain emotion.
What did you do for the genre task?
For the genre task we had to explain what a genre is and we then had to list different types of genres such as, horror, action and comedy.
How did your film noir photoshoot and poster turn out?
My film noir poster turned out good. I liked the way it turned out yet, the photoshoot didn't turn out the best seen as I didn't take that many photos. However, the photos I did take look great.
What have you done particularly well over the project?
In my opinion I think that. have done well on is the green screen task. because I was able to use the angles of the videos I took to my advantage.
What could you improve on?
I could improve in my film noir photoshoot and my silent film.
Are there any aspects that you could have developed further during the project?
I could develop my editing skills on premier pro and after effects, seen as I struggle to get to grips with the controls and the settings.
Have you used compositional elements such as rule of thirds on any outcomes?
I have use the rule of thirds slightly in the silent film to create a sense that me and Leah were separated by the bag that was in the middle and we were the outer thirds in the left and the right.
What did you create for your green screen task outcome?
I created a 30 second clip of the road having animals on, the first clip was a road and a spider climbing down the roof to the ground then lifting its front legs and yelling then attacking the camera. the second clip was of a low down angle of a road where a snake would be slithering on the ground. the third and final clip is the road with a little gazelle running from a little lion, I shrunk the images down to get a sense of size.
Are you happy with your movie? what elements would you change?
I am happy with the idea that we had chosen which was me taking something from leaps bag. Yet I would add clips from different angles in the film to tell the story a bit better.
